Helm and AWS Elemental Live
The recent paradigm shift towards a hybrid playout world where SDI and IP protocols are both being used, raises new control challenges.
Helm now supports AWS Elemental Live, providing comprehensive control and monitoring support for this innovative playout technology.
AWS Elemental Live provides real-time video and audio encoding for linear pay-TV broadcast and live streaming to new media platforms. The software-based solution performs simultaneous processing of multiple video outputs, delivering the high-quality, high-efficiency performance required for formatting live video for any device. AWS Elemental Live is designed to integrate seamlessly into an end-to-end real-time video delivery workflow, evolve as technology requires and maximise revenue opportunities.
Helm Clockwork provides automated control of broadcast devices. This scheduling system can be used with Elemental Live, either for time‐of‐day control or running simple playlists. All Elemental Live functions, including static keyers, Motion Image keyer and input selection are controllable with Helm Clockwork.
With Helm Designer, engineers can create web panels for AWS Elemental Live and deploy them directly to a WebCentre server. These panels work in any modern web browser, on any system, including tablets and other mobile devices.
WebCentre is a self-hosted web server application, and includes full user management and role-based permission restrictions.
Web Panels built with Helm Designer can also integrate with social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube for live streaming. You can also combine router control into these panels
